STRONG AND DRUNK? –

April 10, 2026 – A man set himself the bizarre challenge of lifting weights and drinking beer every day for 90 days – this is what happened.

By now, we’re all well aware of the downsides which consuming alcohol has on our bodies. Hangovers, reduced libido and numerous issues affecting your liver, digestive system and cardiovascular health. But what if you were to balance out your drinking habits by exercising every day –would that make drinking less damaging to the body?

It was this premise which one YouTube creator set out to investigate.

In a video titled ‘I Drank Alcohol for 90 DAYS STRAIGHT – How Bad Was It?’ Kyle Brown revealed his was putting the claim that there is ‘no safe amount of alcohol’ to the test.

Here is what he found.

The first change with Kyle noted was an improvement in his physical fitness, with the content creator and business owner noting that he’d ‘never been stronger’ than after completing his drink beer/lift weights experiment.

“I gained muscle mass, I lowered my overall percentage of body fat,” he said. “I felt great, and it was easier than I expected.”

However, he was quick to caveat that he wasn’t crediting 90 days’ worth of beers for his personal bests in the gym, noting that he had never lifted ‘this consistently’ – which means a pint isn’t going to help you on the way to your fitness goals.

“I think the science is probably right on this one,” he added.
