But that wasn’t always true before she got sober in 1986, just before she began her portrayal of Peg Bundy on Married… With Children.
“everything I thought was important — to be a rock star, to be, you know, all the things, my life is so much better than I could have imagined, in terms of raising a family and being [in a] mother group in Nashville. I was able to work and raise children and be married a couple of times and, you know, all the things that I was cutting myself short by thinking, no, it has to be this way, has to be this way.”
