May 30, 2026 – “If 100 people were blindfolded and taste-tested the original Guinness next to Guinness 0, the majority of them wouldn’t be able to tell the difference,” she wrote. While we didn’t manage to recruit 100 people (and didn’t make our testers wear blindfolds), we did convince a few of our colleagues at the Guardian to participate in a blind taste test to see if she was right. In the end, only about half were able to tell the boozy from booze-free.
