May 1, 2019 – His goals were lofty: Not only was he going to pick up his BMX bike and train for the Olympics, but he was going to start a nonprofit organization to help young people. While staying sober, Hoffman went on to achieve considerable success, ranking second in the Master Pro class at the 2016 UCI BMX World Championships in Colombia, according to his website. Additionally, he served as one of BMX Pro Brooke Crain’s coaches during the Rio Olympics in 2016. He also founded The Freewheel Project, an action sports nonprofit.

Hoffman travels throughout the nation sharing his story of recovering, informing the public of the dangers of so-called “gateway drugs” and why it’s important to not judge addicts based on assumptions.
