May 02, 2018 – A woman accused of murdering an elderly woman will enter a drug treatment program while she’s locked up. Craig Smith and his girlfriend Evonne Jaramillo are charged with murdering 86-year-old Josephina Ortega insider her home last May. Ortega was Smith’s Aunt. Jaramillo, who has been a no-show for several hearings did appear in court Wednesday. Judge Briana Zamora waived her detention hearing for now. Jaramillo will also stay in custody while she goes through a drug treatment program.
