Sept. 10, 2025 – As he divulged more about his sobriety journey, he confessed that there were moments when he struggled with wanting alcohol. But his lawyer offered him “a really poignant piece of advice,” telling Holland, “You’ll never wake up the morning after a night out and wish you had a drink.” The actor started participating in Dry January in 2022, originally planning to abstain just for the month. However, his sobriety extended when he realized alcohol had become an essential part of his life.

“Every Friday after work was a write-off: Let’s get drunk and have a good time. I didn’t have bad experiences, but I would drink enough so that I would ruin my next day,” the Spider-Man star said.
