His father, Robert Downey Sr., was a filmmaker, while his mother, Elsie Ann Ford, was an actress. Downey Jr. also has a sister named Allyson. At the age of 10, he acted in his first film, “Pound,” directed by his father. His career faced challenges due to personal issues and struggles with substance abuse. Robert Downey Jr. has had a tumultuous personal life, marked by struggles with addiction. However, he has managed to overcome these challenges and transform his life. In 1992, he married actress Deborah Falconer, with whom he has a son named Indio Falconer Downey. However, the couple divorced in 2004.
