And I thought, ‘wow, I think I’m having a heart attack.’ And then I looked at my friend, and I said, ‘I don’t want to die.’”Addiction took everything away from one woman in Chattanooga, but a second chance changed her life forever.

When Kori Konrad was in high school, she wanted to be a marine biologist.
But at seventeen, she was experimenting with drugs. She says she dropped out of school, and was kicked out of the house. She was addicted to opiates.
