March 9, 2024 – “The gentleman that I work with are living examples that there is life after addiction,” said Intake Coordinator Derek Dare. “It’s just nice to see the family and motivations that’s allowed them to get to where they’re at. We couldn’t be more proud of the graduates that we have here.”
Those in the program have to earn their GED while learning how to develop their faith. One resident says everything lined up for him to be in Adult & Teen Challenge, even through some hesitation. It got to the point I lost my job. Next thing you know, I’m at that corner gas station begging people for money,” said resident Alberto Trujillo. “I look at this as an opportunity for a new life. What I’ve done in my past doesn’t matter anymore. It’s what I’m doing now.”
