March 9, 2018 – In her new cover story for Billboard, which was released on Thursday (March 8), the star, who is currently on the road with her “Tell Me You Love Me World Tour” with DJ Khaled and Kehlani, recalled the celeb-packed fundraiser and it wasn’t a fond memory. “I had a terrible experience,” Lovato admitted. “This one celebrity was a complete bitch and was miserable to be around. It was very cliquey. I remember being so uncomfortable that I wanted to drink.” As for who she could have been referring to, it might just be Nicki Minaj as the rapper looked visibly irritated with the pop star at the event and then prompted some blogosphere chatter when she purposely didn’t tag her in an Instagram post. Lovato went on to repost the photo and reveal that the 2016 affair was “so f**ing awkward.” Shortly into the evening, the 25-year-old ended up texting her manager and went straight to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at 10 PM wearing some of the diamonds that she wore to the event. “I changed my clothes, but I still had my diamonds on – millions of dollars of diamonds on in an AA meeting,” she explained. “I related more to the homeless people in that meeting who struggled with the same struggles that I deal with than the people at the Met Gala – fake and sucking the fashion industry’s d*ck.”
