Carrie Simmons: Person of the Week

Born in Alexandria, Virginia, Carrie Simmons completed high school after being in several theatrical productions and went onto the Savannah College of Art Design in Georgia. She majored in fashion design, then moved to New York City and worked for several top designers, wanting to start her own label. She moved to LA and began an environmentally friendly fashion company, then landed several parts in movies and acting and worked as a print model. When she gained sobriety, she decided to go back to school and earn a master’s degree in clinical psychology as an LMFT. She helps & uplifts many people every day, and when she’s not passionate towards her clinical work, she’s writing songs, recording and performing on stages. Carrie also just completed a Hot8yoga certification & EMDR accreditation. You can listen to all her music and songs on recovery and sobriety on Spotify or Apple iTunes, as well as her website.
