ALWAYS TOO SOON –
August 14, 2021 – Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years.
“I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her.
“Last night she lost the battle.” The cause of death wasn’t made obvious straight away, but a few months later, the Los Angeles coroner’s office confirmed that Lisa had passed away from accidental “multiple drug intoxication”.
Just days after her death, her passing was labelled as “a mystery” by police, after sources claimed there was no evidence of any drugs or alcohol in her room when she died.
TMZ said that paramedics were called to Lisa’s rehab centre, where they discovered needle marks on her arm. However, her boyfriend insisted this was how she was having her treatment administered rather than her misusing drugs.
Lisa had a turbulent last few months of her life.
In the November before her passing, she was arrested in connection with a disturbance at her North Carolina home with her 61-year-old husband Robert Joseph Gilliam.
