TELL ME THE TRUTH –
February 18, 2026 – Jackson White is opening up about his journey to sobriety. The Tell Me Lies star, 29, got candid on the Wednesday, Feb. 18 episode of Call Her Daddy as he reflected on his childhood — he was raised by divorced parents and spent a majority of his time with his mom, Katey Sagal, and saw his father, Jack White, more sporadically — and how he developed unhealthy habits.
“I just grew up in fear. I grew up in a lot of inconsistency, so I didn’t know what was going on a lot of the time, and so I come at situations from a fearful place sometimes,” Jackson said on the podcast. “It gets better and better — over the last 10 years — but I absolutely go into things on the defense, thinking that it’s not gonna work out — that’s how I approach most things.”
He shared that he had “resentment for a long time” about his parents’ split and their dynamic, and he would “weaponize” those feelings. “You’re like, ‘Oh, this person f—ed me up so I’m gonna f— you up.’ Hurt people hurt people,” he said. “But not anymore. It’s all love. It’s all good now. I took a lot from my mom and a lot from my dad.”
