Mother Drunkenly Attacked Young Daughter on Flight to Paradise - Addiction/Recovery eBulletin

NOT IN FIRST CLASS –

Nov. 26, 2025 – Samantha Ann Dennis, 49, will serve no time behind bars for attacking the defenseless child on a packed flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu last year.

Instead, Honolulu District Judge Derrick Watson handed her just two years of supervised release…Dennis sparked chaos on an Honolulu Airlines flight on November 4, 2024, when she violently lashed out at her daughter – landing the young girl in the hospital, according to the criminal complaint. Prosecutors did not say how old the victim was.

Within the first two hours of the roughly six-hour trip, four passengers approached flight attendants in a panic about Dennis screaming at and threatening her daughter, police said.

Other witnesses reportedly told staffers that Dennis was kicking the young girl and slamming her head into the window, telling her: ‘You keep smiling like that, God is going to kill you.’

When flight attendants approached her, she allegedly told them she was just trying to calm her daughter down.
