1.3 Million Views since 2013 – The song arose from a personal experience of Berlin when his doctor suggested he try “counting his blessings” as a way to deal with insomnia brought on by stress.  It was nominated for an Academy Award as “Best Song” but was defeated by “Three Coins in the Fountain” from the film of the same name written by Jule Styne and lyricist Sammy Cahn.[4] It was performed on the 1955 Academy Awards telecast.
