June 12, 2025 –  Sibling rivalry took a musical twist with identical twins, Michael and Stephen Kline, of Memphis.

“When we were like 10 or 11, we would always write songs just for each other,” said Stephen, a keyboardist. “We’d try to outdo each other and taught ourselves piano; we played trumpet and stuff.”

Guitarist Michael shared, “We have hundreds of tapes of old songs; we were just trying to outdo each other, and we would be in bands and stuff, but we never liked playing live.”

The Kline brothers, now 46, have spent hours recording their latest project together at Memphis Magnetic Recording where luminaries such as Elvis Costello have made records (“Alive at Memphis Magnetic” and songs on Costello’s album “A Boy Named If” from 2021-22).
