CHANGING MEANS SAVING –
May 4, 2024 – Robbie Mason started using heroin when he was a child. His hands are dotted with pinprick scars. He used for so long he stopped being able to inject into the veins in his arms, so he turned to his fingers.
He was 12 when he had his first hit. His friend’s older brothers had asked him to sell the drug for them, while he was crashing at their place in western Sydney. They offered him some.
“The first one sealed the deal for me. It helped me forget about everything,” he says.
