ON EVERY CONTINENT –
April 22, 2023 – AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy and neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
The primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
Usually, those who do not recover cannot or will not completely give themselves to this simple programme, usually men and women who are constitutionally incapable of being honest with themselves.
But the organisation believes those people are still not at fault; they seem to have been born that way. They seem naturally incapable of grasping and developing a manner of living that demands rigorous honesty.
Their chances are less than average.
There are also those who suffer from grave emotional and mental disorders. Many do recover if they can be honest.
Their stories disclose in a general way what they used to be like, what happened, and what they are like now.
There are two groups in Springs and one in Kwa-Thema.
