January 16, 2019 – Researchers interviewed teachers who had been on long-term sick due to mental health problems, as well as school leaders who had experience of dealing with mental health problems among staff… Many said the focus on targets and results was altering the role of teachers and getting in the way of their relationship with pupils, according to the study, published today in Educational Review.  Many also said they felt they were under constant pressure to perform to unrealistic expectations…
