May 3, 2020 – The 6-foot 9-inch forward was coming off surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee in 2012. He rattled the medications he was taking and the friend shot back: “Why don’t you stop taking that garbage.”
In lieu of synthetic opioids, his friend had come armed with a grab bag full of cannabis-based products, including “topicals, tinctures, capsules, and gummies,” Harrington said. It was a “godsend.”
