Senator Katie Britt Speaks On Opioid Crisis

VIDEO – TALK LOUDLY, HURRY –

Oct. 10, 2024 – According to the American Addiction Recovery Association, the addiction epidemic is the number one cause for Americans 18-45.

During her time in office, Senator Britt has been vocal about her fight against Alabama’s opioid crisis.

“I think you have to the experts, you have to listen to people with lived experience. We have to make sure, particularly from Congress’s perspective that we don’t just put money towards the problem- that we put it in the right places … I am hopeful that someone out there that is listening that is struggling with addiction is given hope today and reminded that there is a pathway forward and there are people who stand ready to help,” said Senator Britt.

“We’re uniting voices across the country to break the stigma and say ‘recovery is real,” added Jeff Breedlove, CEO of the American Addiction Recovery Association.
