Sept. 15, 2021 – The NYC’s Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Thursday the officer died of an “acute intoxication by the combined effects of fentanyl, diazepam, and tramadol.”
The father of 11-year-old triplets was loved by his fellow officers, according to a GoFundMe set up for his family that has raised more than $31,000 as of Wednesday.
“He was a man known for his humorous character that left all who encountered him with endless stories of the man he was,” the organizer wrote. “Unfortunately, Sergeant Kenny died unexpectedly in the 50th Precinct during his tour.”
