March 18, 2022 – “I didn’t know what to do with myself,” Griffin admitted. “I was just such a crazy workaholic, and all of a sudden, I had this time on my hands, and then I was depressed, and things just weren’t looking up. It just came to a point where I was convinced that I had a good run on this planet and now it’s time for me to go,” she went on. “It’s been good. I’ve done a lot of great stuff and so you know, it gets pretty crazy.”
Griffin first opened up about her addiction and suicide attempt to ABC News August 2021, soon after revealing her lung cancer diagnosis. Fortunately, the funny lady has been cancer-free since December.
