‘I went down the rabbit hole’: Steven Tyler details the depths of his drug addiction

July 23, 2018 – Tyler went on to compare his descent into the depths of addiction by referencing Lewis Carroll’s famed female protagonist. ‘I went down the worst path. I went down the rabbit hole,’ says Tyler. ‘I went chasing Alice.’ The Aerosmith frontman and his bandmate Joe Perry were known as the ‘Toxic Twins’ because of their drug struggles, and by the mid-80s the band seemed to be heading for rock-and-roll obscurity.
