July 10, 2020 – When Trouble Shooter, April Molina met Gina and Miguel, they were both jobless and homeless and the only glimmer of hope was that News 4 connected them with SACADA.
Gina recalls being assigned a recovery coach immediately.
“I’ve been in recovery for a very long time and she goes I know what you’re going through and I will be there for you,” Gina said.
She was also told she would have to begin classes before beginning the Methadone treatment to help wean her off the opioids.
She downloaded zoom on her phone so she could join the classes remotely due to social distancing measures in place.
“Having to do meetings on the phone, it’s crazy,” Gina said wondering how it would help with her recovery.
