Nov. 24, 2020 – “Collaboration is powering 21st century health care, and that’s what our Patient Care Network and this annual summit are all about – working together and learning from one another so that, collectively, we can improve outcomes for our patients and families,” said Bob Poznanovich, vice president of business development for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, the nation’s largest nonprofit provider of addiction treatment, co-occurring mental health care, recovery resources and related prevention and education services.
Hazelden Betty Ford established the Patient Care Network (PCN) in 2017 to bring together like-minded professionals and organizations to work collaboratively on improving care and outcomes for people and families affected by addiction and mental health issues. More than 500 organizations serving all 50 states are now members at various levels. Last week’s summit, entitled Unity is Strength, attracted more than 700 registrants and featured numerous expert speakers, including 22 clinical and business leaders from Hazelden Betty Ford and its PCN member organizations.
“I was grateful to speak at the PCN Summit and to come together with so many others who are committed to using evidence-based approaches to meet the complex, growing needs of the people we serve and improve long-term recovery outcomes,” said Patrick McGinn, CEO of Harbor Hall, a PCN member in Michigan.
“It was so exciting to participate with colleagues from around the country who share a mission and commitment to best practices,” added Anne Constantino, president and CEO of Horizon Health Services, a PCN member in Western New York. “Collaboration and sharing will continue to set and raise the standards for the best care in the behavioral health industry, which is why we’re proud to be part of the Hazelden Betty Ford Patient Care Network.”
“The Patient Care Network Summit was a huge success thanks to the leadership, engagement and professional dedication of our members,” Poznanovich concluded. “As a result, this event will now become an exciting, annual focal point for our network’s collaborative learning, extending Hazelden Betty Ford’s rich culture of partnership and knowledge-sharing with other leading health care organizations.”
