Gambling Addict Steals Millions from Dodger’s Superstar Shohei Ohtani

WIN SOME, LOSE A LOT MORE –

March 20, 2024 – Attorneys that represent Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani have accused his longtime interpreter with the theft of millions of dollars of his funds to use for illegal gambling. They say Ippei Mizuhara, Ohtani’s interpreter since he joined MLB in 2018, engaged in “massive theft” of Ohtani’s money to make bets with bookmaker Matthew Bowyer.

“In the course of responding to recent media inquiries, we discovered that Shohei has been the victim of a massive theft and we are turning the matter over to the authorities,” said a statement from Berk Brettler LLP, who are representing Ohtani. 

A Dodgers team spokesperson told the Times that Mizuhara was fired by the team on Wednesday. They confirmed that news in a statement that said:
