Former Johnson County addiction counselor charged with rape

Oct. 10, 2019 – Brown provided her with Xanax knowing she was intoxicated, the affidavit says. The woman later told police Brown had sexual contact with her, and provided text messages showing Brown’s admission they had sex. The woman told police she was not in a romantic relationship with Brown and any sexual contact was unwanted and nonconsensual, according to the affidavit.

Brown later denied sexual intercourse with the woman, but admitted to Olathe police that he sent the text messages saying he was, “sort of in a fantasy world” and that “physiologically it cannot happen and it did not happen.” Brown is a former employee of Avenues to Recovery…
