Kat Cross is a native Chicagoan with an impressive background of life experiences. Alongside studying three subjects — Theater; Psychology; and Recreation, Parks & Tourism — at Western Illinois University, she served in the Army National Guard for 10 years. After her studies, she worked abroad in the United Kingdom serving the United States Navy and Royal Air Force.
Q. At which of the schools you attended did you learn the most?
A. While I was Army Boot Camp and Advanced Individual Training I learned so much about myself and how much more I was capable of than I had previous thought possible.
Q. Do you believe leaders are made or born?
A. I believe leaders are born and I believe that people need to do their own personal healing in order to cultivate their skill sets.
