Q. If you are in recovery, what was your drug of choice? When did you stop using?
A. I am not in recovery. (Though many of the people I am fortunate to work with are.)
Q. Do you think addiction is an illness, disease, a choice, or a wicked twist of fate?
A. I think it is a wicked combination of all four.
Q. Where did you grow up?
A. A small English coal mining village in North Nottinghamshire, England.
Q. If you had an extra million dollars, which charity would you donate it to?
A. I would not give to any established charity. I would look for children in need of care with a variety of conditions and help them get access to treatment. One thing Covid has proved is that the governments of the world have enough reserves to pay for most all the conditions that children and people suffer from. They just choose not to.
Q. Do you have any children?
A. Seven (Five boys and two girls) and seven grandchildren so far.
Q. What is your favorite hotel or resort?
A. Since 1986, I have spent my life in hotels in almost 80 countries. If I had to choose, then it would be The Scribe in Paris or The Negresco in Nice and the Bab al Shams Resort in Dubai.

A. My Wife of 38 years.

A. I take risks every day. Always have. That is my addiction.

A. Already, I consider I have wasted too much time in the limited that I have available.

A. Seeing my first OSCAR PHELPS novel in print in July 1997. 32-Red an Oscar Phelps novel.

A. I believe in a higher power but do not know what it is. Nor do I care.
