July 13, 2018 – TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is taking on a new role in his efforts to help fight opioid addiction. Christie is joining the board of the Beach House Center for Recovery in Juno Beach, Florida. He’ll serve as executive chairman, helping to develop policy and related matters. A spokeswoman says Christie will be “reasonably compensated for his time,” but declined to provide specific details. She said Christie will be in Florida for some meetings and other work.
