Demi Lovato celebrates 6 months of sobriety: ‘Best day ever’

January 26, 2019 – Before the hospitalization, Lovato had celebrated six years of sobriety. But in her song “Sober,” released last June, Lovato opened up about a relapse. “Mama, I’m so sorry I’m not sober anymore/And daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor,” she sings in the lyrics. “To the ones who never left me/We’ve been down this road before/I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.” The honesty of her song lyrics shows how tough addiction is — but she’ll never stop fighting.
