Jan. 19, 2023 – Like any addiction, workaholism is a real condition. Unfortunately, some consider it an admired trait; it’s not. Scholarly studies show people who are addicted to work are much more likely to burn out and suffer from chronic stress, depression, and anxiety; not to mention have strained relationships with their families. They tie their self-worth to their work achievements, but for most their accomplishments are never enough. Psychologists estimate about 10 percent of the working population is addicted to their work. What do you do if you find yourself in that group?
